The causes of ignition switch malfunction are divided into mechanical and electronic.

• release the pumping loops of the immobilizer located on the lock.

1. To carry out mechanical restoration of the lock’s operability, it must be removed completely or partially (remove the cylinder). Complete disassembly of the results using a special tool. Often, repairs are carried out after dismantling the steering column while steering lock repairs, using a sharp tool. If the key is jammed, it is enough to remove the cylinder. To do this, turn the key to a horizontal position, move the locking latch and remove the cylinder. For cars of different models, a special repair kit of secrets is available for sale. You can easily replace them yourself (they are marked with symbols).
2. Replacing the contact group usually does not cause problems. New components for various cars are available for sale.
3. Eliminating a failure in the power supply circuits checks the fuses and electrical equipment.
4. Failure of the immobilizer system from wear malfunction. It is better to use the services of an auto electrician to carry out repairs at the same time you can do ESL programming.

   

Remember: if the lock begins to jam, turn and breed every other time, you should immediately begin repairs. If it completely refuses to turn, dismantling the elements will be significantly more difficult.
